HeroKids Privacy Policy

HeroKids ("the app") is operated by M12 Solutions Inc ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. We follow COPPA (US) and LGPD (Brazil) practices for the protection of children's data.

1. Who uses HeroKids

• Parents/guardians — receive updates about their child from the daycare.
• Daycare staff — record a child's activities, meals, naps, medication, attendance.

Children do not use the app directly. Their information is entered by staff with parental consent.

2. Data we collect

• Account info: name, email, phone, role.
• Child information (entered by daycare with parental consent): name, date of birth, allergies, medications, emergency contact, daily photos, attendance.
• Content you create: messages, photos, audio sent in the conversation with the daycare.
• Diagnostics: anonymized crash reports and performance metrics. No cross-app tracking.

3. How we use it

• Provide the app features.
• Authenticate you and secure your account.
• Deliver push notifications about your child.
• Fix bugs and improve performance.

4. Sharing

We do not sell data. We share only with infrastructure providers strictly necessary to run the app (Supabase for database/storage; Apple and Google for push delivery). These vendors sign data-protection agreements.

5. Children and COPPA

• HeroKids is designed for adult parents/guardians and licensed daycare staff. Children under 13 do not interact with the app directly.
• Daycare registers a child only after written parental consent.
• No third-party ads. No invasive analytics on children's data.
• Child data is removed when the responsible adult deletes their account (if no other parent is linked).

6. Your rights

• Delete your account any time from Settings → Apagar conta. Removal is immediate and permanent.
• Export your data on request via email.
• Correct or complete data inside Settings or through the daycare.

7. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access is gated by session login. In case of an incident affecting your data, we notify by email within 72 hours.
